About 18 months.
The whitening service is done in 3 back-to-back 20-minute sessions and sometimes into a 4th 10-minute session. The whole service generally takes 60-90 minutes.
There are a few factors, as far as supplies (i.e., gloves, etc.), that you will purchase yourself that take part in your cost per client, but our gel and booster combo is between $18-$20 per client. $8-$11 per whitening gel pen, $6-$9 vitamin booster (must be used with every whitening) prices vary depending on the quantity purchased. So your cost for products will be between $18-$20, and all the other supplies broken down equal to about $4-$6. Please let us know if you have any other questions!
Carbamide peroxide whitens only surface stains as it is 1/3 as powerful as hydrogen peroxide. Hydrogen peroxide, when combined with the industrial whitening light, whitens through the enamel down to the dentin layer, bringing out the client's brightest bright.

Unfortunately, our recipe is proprietary, and we do not share our full ingredient list or our manufacturing plant. If it helps, our product contains 20% food-grade and dental-grade hydrogen peroxide, calcium, and organic aloe. If you are wanting more information on our products to help encourage your partners, you can visit our website here: https://thefresheffects.com

They are 44% carbamide peroxide.
3-20 minute whitening sessions—occasionally followed by an additional 10-minute fourth session— This is because each whitening session targets a deeper layer of the tooth.
The first session removes surface stains—similar to what whitening strips or charcoal toothpaste might achieve.
The second session opens the enamel’s pores and begins whitening the underlying layer.
The third session reaches into the dentin, where deeper, more stubborn stains reside.
This layered approach is what helps your client achieve their brightest and most long-lasting results.delivers the most effective results. Including a short hydration break between sessions not only enhances whitening outcomes but also significantly reduces the risk of sensitivity.
You will receive a welcome email with all the information you need to get started. Be sure to check your spam and promotions folder as it tends to go there automatically
Hydrogen peroxide is 3x stronger than carbamide peroxide, in other words, 44% carbamide peroxide is equivalent to a 14.7% hydrogen peroxide. On top of that, carbamide peroxide whitens only surface stains. Our 20% hydrogen peroxide whitening gel, when combined with the industrial whitening light, whitens through the enamel down to the dentin layer, bringing out the client's brightest bright.

Our gums and lips are made of soft tissue, and getting the hydrogen peroxide from the whitening gel on the lips can cause soft tissue irritation and blistering like a minor burn.
If you notice at the end of a whitening service that some blistering on a client's lip has occurred, you can generously apply vitamin E, send the client home with a couple more vitamin E swabs, and recommend a mild pain reliever. You will also want to suggest they drink as much water over the next few days as possible to help speed up the healing process.
Yes, we do! We offer private labeling on our Whitening pens and our Vitamin boosters. When you visit our wholesale store and click on the private label product in the description you will see the dimensions you will need to create your own label stickers for your product
We can’t give any legal advice, but we can tell you we have many clients in (state particular city) using our products and applying them to their clients’ teeth. Thank you so much for reaching out and for checking in with us right away. I completely understand your concern, especially since you’re using the gel on your clients and want the best results for them.
Our gels require direct heat for an extended period of time to become activated, so it's completely normal for them to feel room temperature or slightly warm. For best results and to preserve the product's longevity, we recommend storing the whitening gel in the refrigerator.
To check if the gel has been prematurely activated, inspect the cap of the gel pen and the consistency of the gel. A small amount of condensation is normal, but if the cap contains a significant amount of water or the gel appears very runny, it may have been activated.
You can also perform a quick test: place a small amount of gel on your pointer finger and rub it between your fingers for about a minute. Wait five minutes—if your skin turns white, your gel is still active and effective. We truly appreciate your loyalty and the care you put into your clients’ results.
Sensitivity can be a bit unpredictable, as it varies greatly from person to person. It may be caused by dehydration—especially common after weekends when clients may have consumed alcohol, which dries out the body—or by individual factors such as genetics (for example, my family is extremely sensitive, so hydration and the use of the Vitamin Booster are essential for us). Tooth composition, gum recession, and other oral health factors can also contribute. And sometimes, it just feels like all the sensitive clients show up at once! 🙃
To help minimize sensitivity and set clear expectations, we recommend the following best practices. Not only do these steps support your client’s comfort, but they also help protect your business in case a client doesn’t follow instructions and requests a refund.
Here’s what we suggest:
Send a reminder text the day before the appointment with detailed instructions for the day before, the day of, and the day after the treatment.
Advise clients not to brush or floss for at least 6 hours before their appointment (they may use mouthwash if they prefer).
Encourage them to drink 80–100 oz of water the day before, the day of, and the day after their whitening session to stay well-hydrated.
Apply the Vitamin Booster for 10 minutes in-office immediately after treatment, and again at home for 20–30 minutes before bed that night. The booster helps soothe nerve sensitivity and accelerates the closing of pores in the enamel, significantly reducing discomfort.
Above all, staying hydrated is the most effective way to reduce sensitivity. Be sure to emphasize this to your clients!
There are 30 applications in each of our On The Go pens
There is about a 5–7-minute gap in between each session. The client will rinse, swish, and spit after each session, drink water to rehydrate the nerves as their mouth has been open and exposed to the whitening light for 20 minutes straight, you will use an oral brush up to clean the teeth and reapply vitamin e to rehydrate the gums and lips. Doing back-to-back sessions like that with a small rehydrating gap in between creates amazing results with little sensitivity and maximum comfort for them as the client is staying hydrated and they aren’t stuck under the light for 60 minutes straight. It also allows us to reapply the gel to clean teeth each session which provides optimal results.
You can log in to your training course and go to the lesson “Marketing Material” to find the new templates you can edit and create as your own.
Our light ships for free, and so do all orders over $250 within the U.S. and over $350 for international orders. Be sure to double-check your cart total—you might want to add a few more items to take advantage of the free shipping offer.
If you’ve ordered lights, please note that they ship directly from the manufacturer, while the rest of your products will be shipped separately from our warehouse
We are glad you asked because this is VERY important. You need to use a fresh pen for every client. Each pen holds nearly the perfect amount of gel for up to 4 whitening sessions. It is highly unsanitary to try and re-use a brush-up pen on multiple clients no matter how many disinfecting chemicals you use. If you are cost-conscious, we just launched whitening syringes that hold enough gel for 10.5 sessions, and you provide your own applicator. Using a syringe allows you to get every drop so you don’t have to keep buying individual pens!
Acidic foods and drinks can deplete calcium and phosphate from the teeth, weakening enamel and accelerating tooth decay. Our high-quality Vitamin Boosters help replenish these essential minerals, supporting enamel restoration and helping to prevent further damage.
We would absolutely love to have you be part of our Fresh Effects family 😊
We are always here to help you grow your business and answer any questions you might have.

We are sorry to hear that your gels are frozen. This does not mean that they are bad. We recommend letting the gels come back down to room temperature and then putting them in the fridge. That way you aren’t putting extra cold gel on the teeth causing more sensitivity.
We recommend 10 at the youngest but anyone under 18 must have parental consent.
You may find several articles online written by dentists claiming that only dentists are able to offer teeth whitening services. However, you can read the supreme court ruling where they confirmed that providing teeth whitening service is not practicing dentistry and can be offered by other professionals.
We offer USPS Priority Mail Express service, which typically delivers within 1 to 2 days by 6 PM after the order has been shipped from our warehouse.
However, please note that we may not always be able to ship the same day or next day due to inventory levels or holidays. To avoid any disruptions, we recommend keeping a close eye on your inventory and placing your orders at least 2 weeks in advance to ensure timely delivery.
Rest assured our products do not contain any of those ingredients. Thanks for reaching out to clarify first!
We recommend applying the Vitamin Booster after whitening because the whitening process temporarily makes the mouth more acidic. This acidity can draw out calcium and phosphate from the teeth, which may weaken enamel and accelerate the risk of decay.
Our high-quality Vitamin Booster helps replenish those essential minerals while the pores of the teeth are still open—making it an ideal time to restore and strengthen the enamel, and help prevent further damage.
We’re really sorry to hear that you’re feeling discouraged. Please remember that our products whiten only up to each client’s natural stopping point, which varies from person to person—so it’s very likely that your process is just fine!
We recommend suggesting the Vitamin Booster to your client to help repair and strengthen their enamel. They can return for a touch-up appointment in about a month, and you’ll likely see even better results then.
You're doing an amazing job, and we’re genuinely proud of you. This is a common challenge many whitening techs encounter. Keep working hard and continue being honest and transparent with your clients—you’ve got this!
So as far as your malpractice insurance, I recommend you talk to your lawyer since we cannot give you legal advice and because each state has their own regulations when it comes to teeth whitening and who can perform the service it’s hard for us to advise. But you can read what the Supreme Court ruled on our industry a few ears back here so you can be better inform and make your business decisions accordingly.
With our gel you clients can do a full whitening treatment every 2-3 months or as much as once a month if they want to do a quick 20 minute touch-up. We don’t recommend more than that, especially for clients with sensitivity.
NO, IT DOES NOT!
Hi! Great question. Minerals help make up tooth enamel, along with bone and dentin. They also prevent tooth decay and cavities. They help to neutralize odors and acidic foods that cause bad breath.

As far as the FDA is concerned a dental and food grade Hydrogen peroxide is safe to use for teeth whitening, toothpaste, mouthwash, and a couple other medical uses.
That said, hydrogen peroxide can be considered toxic, especially when ingested or inhaled in concentrated forms.
For this reason a lot of miss informed people say that HP is unsafe.
Our teeth whitening products are considered cosmetics, over the counter products and don't require FDA approval.
It’s important to know that the FDA doesn’t approve cosmetic products like teeth whiteners before they hit the market. Instead, the FDA regulates the ingredients used. This ensures the ingredients are safe for consumer use. While our products may not receive FDA approval, they are still safe since we adhere to all their regulations .
Our product contain cosmetic dentist-approved and food grade hydrogen peroxide in our gel. This is scientifically formulated to brighten teeth without causing pain or sensitivity.
Thats a great question! When a client whitens their teeth with you using our products and you do a full teeth whitening treatment, the pores of teeth open up to the dentin layer and it takes approximately 24-72 hours for the pores to return to normal (this is why we recommend they stick to a white diet for at least 24 hours after they whiten) if a client uses baking soda or whitening toothpaste (which are meant to whiten teeth and are more abrasive than regular toothpaste) it might cause sensitivity and that is definitely something you want to avoid.
We appreciate your diligence in requesting Safety Data Sheets (SDS/MSDS); however, please note that our products are classified as cosmetic items and are not considered hazardous under applicable regulations. As such, SDS/MSDS documentation is not typically provided or required for these types of formulations. That said, we are more than happy to share product information or answer any questions you may have regarding ingredients, usage guidelines, or safety.
Thank you for reaching out! Upon delivery, your gels will likely be room temperature if not a little warm; THIS IS NORMAL. Our whitening gel requires direct heat for an extended period of time to activate which is why we only ship with ice in the summer months, as a precaution. You will know it's activated if the gel is super thin and watery.
Once you purchase the Beyond Light, it comes with the 2 lights and 5 reusable cheek retractors that are used with the Beyond light. We will also send you a how to video so you can feel comfortable using your new light.
We do sell the reusable cheek retractors. We sell them individually so you don’t need to purchase multiple at the time.
The whitening process is the exact same with the Beyond light as with the Pro 90 lights
We suggest that your client does not brush or floss their teeth 6 hours before their appointment. When we brush or floss our teeth the gums tend to separate from the teeth and it takes about 6 hours for them to return to normal. When there is a gap between the gum and the teeth, there is room for the gel to get in that space and it might cause sensitivity for your clients. It doest happen to everyone but we think it is better to be safe than sorry.
Grey teeth are mostly due to what we refer to as a dead tooth or from antibiotics staining teeth.
If a tooth is dead the pores on the teeth won't open as much as a natural living tooth. With tetracycline antibiotics, or some chemo medications teeth can appear grey or brown. These stains can be permanent and are difficult to whiten. What this means is WE CAN whiten the teeth stains from both os these cases but it most likely wont brighten up as much as the other teeth and they may be significantly darker than the other teeth. We recommend you point this out to your clients and make sure they know they have one or a few before starting the whitening process so they don't have false or unrealistic hope and expectations.
The most suitable NAICS code for your business is likely 812199 – Other Personal Care Services. This category covers businesses that offer personal care services but don’t fall under specific types like hair, nail, facial treatments, temporary makeup, or non-medical diet and weight loss services. Since teeth whitening, when NOT done by a licensed dentist, is considered a cosmetic service focused on appearance rather than dental health, it fits within this classification. To ensure your business is properly licensed and protected, we highly recommend that you speak with a legal professional who understands small business or healthcare regulations.
Here is an easy way to talk about our Vitamin Booster to your clients
Vitamin Booster is designed to help strengthen and protect teeth by replenishing key minerals like calcium, magnesium, and phosphate—the same minerals that naturally make up enamel, bone, and dentin.
Everyday acidic foods and drinks can strip these minerals from the teeth, weakening the enamel and making them more prone to decay. Our high-quality formula helps restore what’s lost, supporting enamel repair and preventing further damage.
It also contains trace minerals that not only help rebuild enamel but also protect against cavities, reduce tooth sensitivity, and neutralize the acids and odors that can cause bad breath.
For your pictures, I'm not sure if you an option to replace your lights in your studio but if you use a daylight bulbs with 5,000 Kelvins those make a huge difference, also i'm not sure if you are using a camera ring light but those are a big help with your before and afters. If you can't replace your light bulbs with a tripod light plus the phone ring light i think your pictures will turn out way better.
No we do not take financial aid or FAFSA because we are not registered as an educational institution, we are registered as a distribution company
A touch-up is a quick 1–20 minute session typically done after a client has completed a full whitening treatment (which consists of three 20-minute sessions). Clients can return for a touch-up anytime within a month after their full treatment.
The process is exactly the same as the full session—you'll still use the teeth wipes, vitamin E oil, and apply the Vitamin Booster afterward. The main difference is that clients don't need to follow the 24-hour white food diet afterward. We simply recommend that they avoid eating for at least 2 hours post-treatment.
Yes, we can whiten with a liners that have buttons, but once the buttons get removed, obviously the tooth behind that won’t be the same color as the rest of the teeth.
As you're getting started with your teeth whitening business, it's really important to know when it's appropriate — and necessary — to decline or postpone a service for a client. This protects their health, keeps your business compliant, and builds trust with your clients.
Here are some key situations where you should not proceed with a whitening session:
When to Decline or Postpone a Whitening Service: -The client has open oral wounds, sores, or signs of infection -There is swelling, bleeding, or suspicious lesions (these may indicate an underlying condition that needs a dentist’s evaluation) -The client reports extreme tooth sensitivity -They’ve had recent oral surgery and are still healing -They are under the influence of drugs or alcohol, which affects their ability to give proper consent -They refuse to sign the consent form -They are not honest or don’t disclose important medical or dental history. You should always recommend that the client see a dentist first if there are any red flags or health concerns. Also, make sure you: Keep detailed records of every session Always get a signed informed consent form before starting treatment Educating your clients and maintaining professional standards will go a long way in building a trustworthy and successful business.
